In 2020, CRIF Ratings updated its methodology to include environmental and social factors in its ratings. The Synesgy ESG Assessment, developed and updated by CRIF Ratings, is one of the most reliable ESG Platforms, certified by GRI in 2024.
Synesgy’s methodology and platform allow users to assess the environmental, social and governance sustainability of companies worldwide and obtain a consistent ESG sustainability score that enables companies to be compared to global standards.

CRIF is a partner in the ambitious European project, TranspArEEnS (Mainstreaming Transparent Assessment of Energy Efficiency in Environmental Social Governance Ratings), coordinated by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and with €1.5 million in funding from the European Commission. The project aims to boost sustainable investment by companies of all sizes and support an ecological transition by providing the market with a standard model for transparent and rigorous ESG assessment.
